Mainstream but my favorite is techno and my brain is always on music.

Jadee! Hi. I love all types of music. I think there is a lot of bad mainstream music out there, though. If a song and/or artist is thought-provoking on any level, or conversely, if a beat is so sick that you have to dance, then it's good music to me. I get a lot of flack for enjoying Lady Gaga, but I do love her songwriting and strong vocals, even though she makes pop music. What about you?

For me it depends on the overall skill on behalf of the band's music. It seems like there's far more skill in the Original/Indie label, but they are usually the bands that don't get much hype.
