Re: Deep Sea Fishing aboard the Holiday

DO NOT GO ON THIS BOAT!!!!! I booked a three day offshore trip aboard this boat in August of this year (2009) and it was a complete mistake. The boat was overbooked because of the owner - we were scheduled for 25 anglers and ended up with 32. Not only did that create a crowded fishing deck, but it seemed like everything was breaking on the boat as well. The bait tank broke and killed all the bait. The fresh water maker broke as well and nobody could take a shower - nobody could take a shower for three days! The fish hold also had some problems, but luckily they were able to keep that limping along. (somebody on the boat told me that it went it completely on another trip he was on and all the fish started to rott). Two boats had to come out to help us, which took away from the time we PAID FOR to fish. One had to bring us water and another had to give us some bait. This boat is old and in desperate need of some major maintenance. They didn't offer us any kind of discount or money off a future trip or anything. NEVER GO ON THIS BOAT!!!! Spend a little more and go out on a better boat, you will thank yourself for doing so. I have to say that the only good thing about this boat was the deck hands, other than that it was the worst money I have ever spent on an offshore trip. I wish I could post a better review of this boat but I would hate to see anybody else spend $700 for this kind of experience.
